This just in! I got my 1st rejection letter earlier this week. Granted- I’ve been slow to submit, working instead with yarn companies like Buffalo Gold and self publishing, so it’s not like I’ve been sticking my neck out too much.
I would sob over it, but honestly I’m not heart broken. Amy from Knitty.com sends the sweetest letters and they feel much more like a hug than a “NO”. I’m not sure how she does it, but it speaks volumes. Besides her sweet way of wording it, it had been held over from the Holiday Head Start issue earlier this summer… so I know it was worth something!
Amazingly, I’m not tired of this piece yet and am looking forward to self publishing it soon. I’m still completely enamored with it’s clean lines and unisex appeal, as well as the fact that it’s a fast knit! It’s perfect for those hard to knit for men in your lives and has a few options making it versatile in sizing. Like it snug? No problem. Like it loose? Got you draped! It calls for Malabrigo Twist, so it is amazingly soft around the neck.
I hope you like it as much as I do. Look for it around the beginning of October.
